Ramada, a hotel chain owned by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, is set to expand its presence in Spain by opening two additional locations.

The two hotels, Ramada by Wyndham Valencia Almussafes and Ramada by Wyndham Madrid Tres Cantos, are slated to open in July and September of this year respectively.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Europe Development vice-president Christian Michel said: “We are extremely pleased with Ramada by Wyndham’s steady growth in Spain and with our continued relationship with Hotel Collection International and Covivio.

“These latest additions in Madrid and Valencia will enable us to further drive our overall mission of making hotel travel possible for all, as well as offer all travellers more options in two sought after travel destinations.”

The brand forayed into Spain by opening Ramada by Wyndham Madrid Getafe last year.

The two new locations are owned by real estate operator Covivio through its subsidiary Covivio Hotels. Hotel Collection International will manage the properties.

Ramada by Wyndham Valencia Almussafes is located near the Rey Juan Carlos Business Park. The property features 133 rooms, fully-equipped private gym, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden as well as on-site restaurant and bar.

It also features three meeting rooms with audio-visual facilities.

Ramada by Wyndham Madrid Tres Cantos is located in a corporate location north of the city. The 61-room property is still under development. Once complete, the hotel will also feature a fitness centre, an all-day snack bar and three meeting rooms.

Earlier this month, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts announced strengthening its presence in Japan. The company converted two hotels to its Wyndham Grand and Wyndham Garden brands.
