Ramnee Hotel, a family-owned property in Scotland, has upgraded its property management system (PMS) to a cloud-based solution provided by Hotelogix, aiming to enhance operational efficiency.

The Edwardian-era villa, which was established in 1907, offers a total of 18 guest rooms along with two restaurants, a bar, separate function spaces, and a garden.

Hotelogix’s cloud PMS is set to automate and streamline the hotel’s daily operations.

Ramnee Hotel said it previously operated with a limited-feature solution that hindered its operational capabilities.

The hotel’s management found the old system cumbersome, leading to unnecessary time and effort being expended.  

Additionally, the lack of comprehensive reporting and timely support prompted the switch to Hotelogix’s more robust and feature-rich cloud solution.

In a LinkedIn post, Hotelogix highlighted that its PMS will allow Ramnee Hotel to fully utilise the revenue potential of its function rooms, offering same-day check-in and check-out options. 

The system also aids in managing corporate bookings, which account for 80% of the hotel’s reservations, by allowing the setup of multiple packages through the PMS’s corporate console. 

Commenting on the decision to adopt the new PMS, Ramnee Hotel managing director Stuart S said: “Hotelogix 2.5 emerged as an obvious choice in every parameter—ease of use to execute essential tasks faster, seamless navigation, easy-to-understand reports, and support. This is the ideal PMS for us.”
