Regent Hotels & Resorts, a part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, has introduced an immersive dining pop-up called Regent Taste Studio in Chongqing, China.
The first edition of Regent Taste Studio in China features six Regent chefs from different parts of the country and four artists specialising in digital, musical, lacquer, and floral arts.
It aims to combine culinary skill with artistic presentation, thereby showcasing the Regent brand’s ‘Beauty of Contrast’ to guests.
According to Regent Hotels & Resorts, the Regent Taste Studio aims to go beyond “fine dining to create true multisensory culinary moments, thoughtfully programmed with the modern luxury traveller in mind”.
IHG chief marketing officer for Greater China Florence Hu said: “The Regent Taste Studio encapsulates the innovative spirit of this legendary brand. Every facet of this journey has been thoughtfully curated to elevate the dining experience with modernity and immersion through imaginative artistic concepts, providing a vital platform for showcasing our talented F&B team.
“Continuing the brand’s rejuvenation, the Regent Taste Studio offers guests a multi-layered, ceremonial, and artistic sensory delight, to captivate guests’ imagination.”

Meanwhile, IHG opened InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit in Bangkok, Thailand, last week.
The 241-room hotel has three dining venues, event areas, a jet lag app called Timeshifter, and more.
