South Korea-based real estate developer Eleven D&C has chosen Rosewood Hotels and Resorts to manage a new hotel within The Parkside Seoul.
Expected to open in 2027, the Rosewood Seoul hotel will be adjacent to Yongsan Park and provide easy access to the city’s popular tourist attractions.
The newly built hotel will feature 250 guest rooms and suites, seven restaurants and bars, wellness facilities, 1,800m² of event spaces and Rosewood Explorers – a kids’ club.
Asaya, a 4,500m² Rosewood wellness facility, will feature several treatment rooms, an indoor pool, hydrotherapy and relaxation areas, locker rooms, saunas and a fitness centre and golf facility.
US-based architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and interior design company Space Copenhagen designed the property.
Eleven D&C chairman Seok Oh Eum said: “We are thrilled to have Rosewood Hotels and Resorts join The Parkside Seoul – a mixed-use development project planned on a site with historical significance in the centre of Seoul. Despite the site being located in the heart of the city, it took 111 years for the site to be returned to the Korean people due to its tumultuous history, making the development of The Parkside Seoul a historic event in itself.
