SH Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans for its upcoming sustainable luxury hotel, 1 Hotel Tokyo, which is scheduled to open in 2025.
The 1 Hotel Tokyo is being developed by a collaboration between SH Hotels & Resorts and property development company Mori Trust.
The hotel will be situated in the Akasaka district as part of the innovative Tokyo World Gate Akasaka project.
This development is designed to be pedestrian-friendly and integrates retail, offices, and the hotel experience into one dynamic space.
The commitment to sustainability at 1 Hotel Tokyo is evident in its Rank S certification from the Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency (CASBEE), indicating exceptional environmental performance.
The hotel’s sustainability initiatives include advanced recycling systems, reduced energy and water consumption, and the use of reclaimed materials for furniture and equipment.

The main lobby on the 38th floor offers a serene retreat with features reminiscent of a Zen garden and panoramic views of the city.

Dining at 1 Hotel Tokyo will showcase Japan’s culinary excellence through thoughtfully designed spaces that complement the innovative cuisine.
Guests can enjoy private dining areas, an open kitchen, and views from both the main restaurant and the bar.
Accommodations at 1 Hotel Tokyo blend traditional Japanese design with modern luxury across 211 rooms and suites.
Natural materials and organic textures are used throughout to create a calming atmosphere, with spa-like bathrooms featuring stone vanities and deep soaking tubs.

For business travel and events, 1 Hotel Tokyo offers approximately 473m² of space with minimalist design elements and captivating views of Tokyo Tower.
The meeting areas feature unique details such as custom carpets and rough-hewn wood entry doors.
