Shanghai Disney Resort has announced the commencement of construction of its third themed hotel in Shanghai, China.

This addition is expected to strengthen the resort’s reputation as a multi-day tourist destination and offer guests more accommodation options.

The new deluxe hotel will feature 400 rooms, joining the existing 420-room Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and the 795-room Toy Story Hotel.

The ground-breaking ceremony, which marked the formal start of construction, was attended by leaders and executives from the Shanghai Disney Resort, the Walt Disney Company, Shanghai Shendi Group, and the Administrative Commission of Shanghai International Resort.

Situated on the shores of Wishing Star Lake, the new hotel caters to families with a wide range of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities and programming.
