Sabre Corporation’s guest engagement software Nuvola now offers integration with messaging platform WhatsApp.
Hotels using Nuvola’s Guest Chat module now have the option to choose between SMS messaging or WhatsApp to power their real-time communications with guests.
WhatsApp, owned by Meta, currently has over 2 billion users across 180 countries, making it an attractive platform for global hoteliers looking to update their communications and software.
Chains such as Accor and Oyo Hotels are using Whatsapp for their room service, booking confirmations and check-in processes.
Nuvola currently supports user interfaces in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, enabling each staff member to pick the language they feel most confident using. French, German and Japanese language options are set to be released in July 2023.
Sabre acquired Nuvola in 2022 and has since launched a two-way integration with its property management system, SynXis Property Hub. This new integration aims to give hotel staff a more holistic view of the traveller and on-property operations.
