Massachusetts, US-based hotel operator Sonesta has added 13 new hotels to its global portfolio, including over 1,000 rooms in total, in the first six months of this year.
These include Sonesta Nouba in Aswan, Egypt; Hotel 11, MOD a Sonesta Collection in Calgary, Ontario; Z Ocean Hotel, Classico a Sonesta Collection in Miami, Florida; Red Lion Inn & Suites in Liberty of Missouri, Gretna, Nebraska and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Americas Best Value Inn properties at Laurel of Maryland, Carlisle of Pennsylvania and Lafayette, Los Angles.
Sonesta executive vice-president and franchise and development president Keith Pierce said: “Sonesta’s progress in the first half of 2023 illustrates our success growing multiple brands across our platform and was driven by strong owner relationships and our ability to meet consumer needs.
“With additional growth opportunities through two new soft brands, a rapid and seamless conversion and signings process and effective communication with our owner community, we look forward to continued success in the latter half of 2023.”
Sonesta has roughly 1,200 properties totalling 100,000 rooms across 17 brands in eight countries.
In late 2021, Sonesta Franchising launched in the US with a whole gamut of franchise services, hotel operations and franchise support.
