The Tourism Authority of Thailand has partnered with Wego to promote and enhance tourism in the country.
The collaboration aims to leverage Wego’s travel technology, including search capabilities and personalised recommendations, to enable users to discover the best flight and accommodation options in the country tailored to their preferences and budget.
The collaboration also aims to offer comprehensive travel guides, insider tips and deals, allowing travellers to make well-informed decisions and experience Thailand’s hidden gems.
The Thai national economy is dependent on tourism and was hit severely by the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, it has made an impressive recovery.
GlobalData’s travel and tourism analysis finds that the country’s leading source markets include Malaysia, India, Singapore, Laos and South Korea. It now hopes to attract more tourists from the MENA [Middle East and North Africa] region.
Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand for Dubai and the Middle East Chaiwat Tamtai commented: “Our target audience comprises Arab families and millennials, with Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and Krabi being our top cities for Arab travellers.

Wego also recently collaborated with the German National Tourist Board to draw more eco-travellers to Germany.
