TownePlace Suites by Marriott, part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, has further expanded its US portfolio with the launch of its new property in the state of Virginia.
TownePlace Suites Richmond Colonial Heights marks the brand’s 500th hotel.
It joins the existing TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dallas Rockwallin Texas, and TownePlace Suites By Marriott Tampa Clearwater in Florida.
The new property is situated south of Richmond and has 131 rooms ranging from studio to one-bedroom suites.
These rooms include complete kitchens, a personalised Elfa closet system from The Container Store, and high-speed internet.
Other amenities at the property include a full-service lobby bar and an outdoor patio area with stainless steel Weber grills. Guests are also offered a complimentary hot breakfast.

TownePlace Suites is an all-suite brand that opened its first property in 1997 in Virginia and currently has properties in the development pipeline across the country and Canada.
The brand offers pet-friendly accommodations, In-A-Pinch Market, and more across all its properties, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
It has programmes including Something Borrowed, allowing guests to borrow items such as cooking utensils and countertop appliances, as well as family board games.
Furthermore, it has a partnership with TasteMade to provide guests with online recipes for in-suite cooking.
Earlier this month, Marriott Bonvoy partnered with family experience company CAMP to transform family vacations on a global scale.
This alliance is expected to bring CAMP Club experiences to Marriott Bonvoy properties.
Marriott Bonvoy currently has 31 brands worldwide.
