Hotel management company Commonwealth Hotels has announced the opening of its TownePlace Suites Indianapolis Downtown, Indiana, the US.

Located in the heartland of Indiana’s capital, the new 146-room hotel is in close proximity to Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center.

The hotel, which is a member of the Marriott family of brands, offers a fully equipped kitchen, complimentary WiFi and new, plush bedding in every room.

It also provides the Something Borrowed section, a TownePlace Suites brand staple that offers additional comforts such as blenders, grilling tools and board games for guests during their stay.

TownePlace Suites Indianapolis Downtown also offers complimentary breakfast, an enhanced fitness centre, in-lobby bar and boardroom available for all guests.

The company stated that the new hotel is expected to be a major destination for a variety of guests to downtown Indianapolis.

Commonwealth Hotels noted that the members of Marriott Bonvoy will receive exclusive rates and deals during their stay at the new hotel.

Commonwealth Hotels chief operations officer Jennifer Porter said: “We are thrilled to open a TownePlace Suites in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis.

“Providing downtown guests with focused amenities to enhance longer visits will be a wonderful addition to the Indianapolis market.”

Founded in 1986, the company is a full-service hotel management company, which currently manages 45 properties with over 5,000 rooms.

Recently, Choice Hotels International’s Ascend Hotel Collection has added four properties to its global portfolio of resort, boutique and historic hotels.

These properties are The Bluff Hotel, The Cranberry, The Landon and Smart Suites and are located in Miami Beach, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; Morgantown, West Virginia; and Burlington, Vermont.
