UK-based hospitality company Travelodge has signed a franchise agreement with Tifco to open a hotel in Dublin, marking it the largest budget hotel in Ireland.

This eight-storey hotel is the group’s fifth Travelodge establishment in Dublin and the group’s 11th property in Ireland, the publication further noted. It is placed near popular tourist attractions and shopping centres.

Retail and Leisure International (RLI) reports that Tifco invested millions of euros in the new property, With the agreement, it has also created 100 jobs.

Dublin-based architecture firm MCA Architects designed this property.

Travelodge PLUS Dublin City Centre features 393 guest rooms, including 175 SuperRooms and includes a range of room types, including family, double, twin-accessible and interconnecting rooms.

The SuperRooms have a Hansgröhe Raindance three-jet shower, Lavazza coffee pod machines in the room, a desk, a 43″ TV and USB power outlets.

The hotel also comprises the mossco bar and restaurant with an outdoor terrace, featuring Irish artist Shane Sutton’s mural.

Since 2016, Tifco has held a franchise arrangement with Travelodge and it currently oversees 11 Travelodge properties in Ireland.
