Outdoor hospitality company Under Canvas is set to debut its first Pacific Northwest location, Under Canvas Columbia River Gorge, marking the brand’s 13th camp.

Scheduled to welcome guests from 29 May 2025, the camp is situated on a 120-acre property in Oregon, US, with views of Mount Hood and proximity to Portland.

The camp’s upscale, safari-inspired canvas tents will feature a king-size bed, gas fireplace, and an ensuite bathroom.

The lobby tent will feature West Elm furniture and local artwork, as well as offer a lounge space, boutique retail and entertainment options, and an on-site yoga deck.

The camp’s dining experience will include a cafe-style menu with fresh, seasonal dishes, West Coast-inspired specials, and a selection of regional wines and craft beers.

The camp’s Adventure Concierge is available to help guests arrange outdoor activities, including rafting, paddleboarding, and mountain biking.

In April, Under Canvas announced its expansion into California with the upcoming opening of Under Canvas Yosemite on 22 May 2025.

This new 80-acre camp is located ten minutes from the west entrance of Yosemite National Park.

Since its inception in 2012 with a camp in West Yellowstone, Under Canvas has expanded to 11 locations, alongside the launch of a new luxury outdoor resort brand, ULUM.
