Amsterdam-based hotel technology company Userguest has garnered €2.2m ($2.4m) in a seed funding round.

The investment round was led by Al Mada Ventures, with participation from CDG Invest, Saviu Ventures, Kalys VC, UM6P Ventures, and Plug & Play, HospitalityNet reported.

It also saw contributions from business angels Philippe Limes and Thane Kuhlman.  

The latest capital injection is set to catalyse Userguest’s expansion and product innovation, as the company aims to empower hoteliers globally with technology that maximises direct revenue.

With a presence in more than 30 countries, Userguest has generated more than $100m in direct revenue for hotels since 2019.

Commenting on the latest fundraise, Userguest co-founder Hicham Benyebdri said: “This investment underscores our investors’ confidence in our vision to create an automated tool that optimises conversions and revenue for hotels.

The seed financing will be mainly used to accelerate Userguest’s growth and launch innovative features and products.

A significant part of the capital will be allocated for expanding the sales team, enabling Userguest to increase its market presence.
