Marriott’s first W Hotels property in Scotland is expected to open this winter (November-March), almost ten years after the project was first announced, as reported by HospitalityNet.
According to the hotel’s official website, the new hotel is scheduled to open in November 2023 and reservations could be made starting in mid-November.
The hotel was first revealed in 2016 under Starwood Hotels’ management prior to the merger with Marriott.
The 244-room hotel is a part of Edinburgh’s St James Quarter, which also includes a Roomzzz Aparthotels.
As earlier stated three years ago, the W Hotels will house Sushisamba, a rooftop restaurant, Joao’s Place, a cocktail bar and the W Lounge.
It will feature five meeting and event spaces for a range of social and business occasions and is expected to provide a range of amenities, including a spa and fitness facility.
