Hospitality company Whitbread has announced the opening of a new hotel at Paddington Station, marking a significant addition to its London portfolio.
The establishment is the first in the city to combine Whitbread’s two budget hotel brands, Premier Inn and hub by Premier Inn, within a single building.
Located close to the platforms of the Elizabeth Line and Paddington train station, the hotel features 369 bedrooms and is one of the largest Premier Inn locations in London.
The development process of the new hotel involved redeveloping an outdated office building.
Whitbread Central London senior acquisition manager Jonathan Langdon said: “We saw the potential of the Paddington area to be transformed by the opening of the Elizabeth Line and the wider investment that was happening in this area.
“Our latest opening at Paddington Station is one of the most connected hotels in the country… and by bringing two of our market-leading hotel brands together into one building we have demonstrated once again how flexible we can be for the right location.”
