Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to open five new Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham properties in the US state of Oregon.
The properties include 86-room Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ashland located at the base of the Siskiyou and Cascade mountain ranges; 81-room Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Florence; and Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salem featuring 74 rooms.
The remaining two properties are the 86-room Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hood River suitable for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and Microtel Inn & Suites Bend featuring 86 rooms.
The hotels will be designed based on Microtel’s Moda prototype.
Wyndham has selected developer Matt Braun of Braun Hospitality to overlook the development of the properties.
Under the agreement between the parties, Braun Hospitality will also be responsible for offering its expertise in planning, design, entitlement, and construction management.
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham brand leader and operation vice-president Keri Putera said: “We are thrilled to announce these newest additions to the Microtel portfolio in prime locations across the coveted Pacific Northwest region.
“The brand’s stylish and contemporary design will offer an exceptional guest experience for both leisure and business travellers throughout Oregon, and our optimized prototype will provide tremendous value for the developers.”
The five properties will complement the brand’s approximately 300 Microtel hotels across the US. Further, more than 80 properties are currently in the pipeline.
Wyndham has approximately 9,000 hotels across nearly 95 countries.
In September this year, the company announced plans for 20 new Microtel by Wyndham hotels in China by the end of next year.
