US developer Wynn Resorts has confirmed that the construction of its first beachfront resort, Wynn Al Marjan Island, is progressing steadily in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, with the project’s topping set for the fourth quarter of 2025.
It has released images showcasing the luxury resort’s design and offerings.
The Wynn Al Marjan Island, spanning nearly 62ha into the Arabian Gulf, marks Wynn Resorts’ expansion into the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.
This luxury resort is being developed in collaboration with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding and is expected to be the first integrated gaming resort in the region when it opens in early 2027.
Wynn Design and Development, a team of over 90 professionals, is at the helm of the resort’s design and development.
Wynn Design and Development president and chief creative officer Todd Lenahan said: “Historically, the area around Ras Al Khaimah was a beacon for navigation and important trade on the Arabian Gulf.

By GlobalData“Early travelers through the gulf relied upon this tented settlement as a trade landmark between the Arabian Gulf and the Arabian Sea.”
“We designed the 300-m-tall resort tower with Ras Al Khaimah’s historic role as a great navigational sentinel in mind. We hope this becomes a new landmark, a new beacon, for travellers to Ras Al Khaimah from across the globe.”
The resort will boast 1,542 luxurious rooms and suites, including 22 Villa Estates by the marina. Guests can look forward to a wide array of amenities, such as multiple pools, water features, private cabanas, and tropical landscaping covering 3.6ha. The property will also offer a white sand beach with views of the Arabian Gulf and the Hajar Mountains.
Dining options will be abundant, with 22 uniquely designed spaces for restaurants, lounges, and bars. The resort will also feature a theatre with bespoke shows, a 15,000m2 luxury shopping esplanade, a five-star spa, and a salon. For events, a 7,500m2 centre will cater to various functions, complemented by outdoor terraces and lawns.
ALEC Engineering and Contracting, a UAE-based main contractor, commenced the resort’s construction last year. The structure currently stands at approximately 40 meters, with the full tower height projected to exceed 300 meters upon its completion in late 2025.
