1 Hotels has announced the opening of its UK flagship and first European property, 1 Hotel Mayfair, created in partnership with Crosstree Real Estate Partners.

SH Hotels & Resorts operates 1 Hotels, which is a nature-inspired lifestyle brand founded by hospitality visionary Barry Sternlicht.

Located in the Mayfair district of central London, this new hotel involved the reuse and renovation of the two existing buildings, preserving over 80% of the structures.

This renovation saw the addition of two new floors as well as the installation of energy-efficient guest room management systems.

1 Hotels founder and SH Hotels & Resorts chairman Barry Sternlicht said: “We are thrilled to bring our brand's one-of-a-kind blend of nature and culture, sustainability and luxury and a holistic focus on health and wellness to what has been a hub of heritage for generations.”

Crosstree Real Estate Partners founders Sean Arnold and Nick Lyle said: “We are delighted to bring 1 Hotels' industry-leading sustainability focus to London as an alternative vision of modern luxury compared to the traditional hotels that dominate Mayfair.

“With 1 Hotels' signature biophilic design combined with its deep-rooted passion and authenticity around environmental responsibility, 1 Hotel Mayfair is a fresh addition to London's hotel scene.”

The hotel offers 181 rooms, including 44 suites that feature native plants and a preserved moss-covered wall, along with a range of amenities.

It boasts four signature suites: the Green Park Penthouse on the seventh floor, the Garden Terrace Suite, the Piccadilly Greenhouse Suite and the Dover Terrace Suite.

Guests can dine at the hotel’s eco-friendly restaurants and bars, which consist of DOVETALE, Dover Yard and NEIGHBOURS.

DOVETALE, situated on the ground floor and led by chef Tom Sellers, serves modern European cuisine along with a selection of desserts, wines and champagnes.

Dover Yard is a bar that serves small bites and pre-dinner drinks for both hotel guests and the local Mayfair residents.

NEIGHBOURS provides guests with healthy grab-and-go options and artisanal coffee, along with a list of cocktails, wine and local snacks.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the hotel’s living wall, which features over 1,300 plants and 200 native species, curated by G.A. Group and SH Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel also has a lobby, a nature-inspired chandelier called Rainforest, as well as original British artwork displayed throughout the property.

Among the other amenities provided at the property are Bamford Wellness Spa and Field House Fitness Centre.

Additionally, the hotel provides guests access to a range of electric Audi house cars, available daily for transportation in the vicinity.

Guests at the property can also visit nearby locations such as Mount Street, Bond Street, the Royal Academy of Arts Regent Street and Buckingham Palace.
