Absolute Hotel Services Group (AHS), an international hospitality management group, in collaboration with UAE-based Dex Squared Hotel Management, has launched a joint venture (JV) to operate hotels in the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
Named AHS Middle East & Africa (AHS MEA), the JV will sign and operate AHS-branded properties, including Eastin Grand Hotels & Resorts, Eastin Estates, Eastin Hotels, Resorts & Residences, U Hotels & Resorts and Absolute Collection brands across the region.
The JV will operate from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and plans to sign 20 branded hotels and five golf/country clubs within the next three to five years.
AHS MEA will focus on promoting, signing, and operating hotel management and golf course contracts under successful platforms created by AHS in many regions.
AHS founder and CEO and AHS MEA president Jonathan Wigley said: "AHS has long sought the right timing to enter these exciting regions with a dedicated company and team. This aligns with our international expansion strategy built on a regionally focused development and operations platform.
“Our partners, Dex Squared, are an ideal fit in terms of company culture and objectives, and we look forward to announcing many new deals in the near future."
The partnership combines extensive regional knowledge with an investor-centric selection of brands and management products.
Headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, AHS manages 40 hotels and golf clubs, with 40 more projects in development. It
operates regional offices in Thailand, India, Indonesia, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
Dex Squared Hotel Management founder and CEO and AHS MEA managing director Kevork Deldelian said: "Starting from the region's largest and most active hospitality development market, Dubai, AHS MEA will carefully select investment partners to work with, offering the flexibility and owner-centric approach that resonates with today's property developers. We aim to sign a sustainable selection of hotels and golf/country clubs in key Middle East and African destinations, including high-potential ones."
Last September, AHS created a strategic alliance with Indonesia-based ARTOTEL Group to bring its U Hotels & Resorts, Eastin Hotels and Eastin Grand Hotels brands to various locations in Indonesia.
