Global hospitality group Accor has further expanded its portfolio with the opening of the Novotel Jaipur Convention Centre (NJCC) in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

This latest addition marks the group’s 24th Novotel property in the country.

It is located near the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC) and aims to serve as a solution that combines accommodations with event facilities.

Accor South Asia vice-president of operations in India Asia Puneet Dhawan said: “We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the NJCC in the vibrant city of Jaipur. This latest addition to our portfolio in India strengthens our commitment to delivering cutting-edge amenities and services.

“The JECC represents a valuable expansion that is poised to fuel the growth of the Accor in India, further solidifying our position as a leading provider of large-scale exhibition and convention venues in the country.”

NJCC & JECC general manager Manuj Ralhan said: “The opening of this beautiful property is a harmonious combination of contemporary design and world-class event facilities, marking a new and exciting journey for Novotel in the Pink City.”

Located in the city of Jaipur, the hotel features 226 rooms catering to both global leisure and business travellers.

The hotel and exhibition centre, spanning 42 acres, serves as a pillar-less facility for exhibitions, conventions and entertainment.

It has 13 breakout meeting rooms, two green rooms, a VIP lounge and a Grand Ball Room that can accommodate 740 retractable auditorium-style seats.

It also offers a 70,000ft² lawn that serves as a venue for celebrations and special events.

Guests can dine at the hotel’s three dining venues, consisting of Ravanta, which provides a poolside dining setting; the multi-cuisine restaurant called Food Exchange and the Gourmet Bar.

Located near Jaipur International Airport, the hotel provides guests with access to commercial hubs as well as tourist sites.

Currently, Accor has 5,500 properties, 10,000 food and beverage venues, wellness facilities and flexible workspaces in more than 110 countries.

Cryptocurrency - The world’s most polarizing technology theme

The globalization and digitization of travel and tourism are both driving the demand for easy-to-use and cheap international transaction processes and payment systems. Tourists are beginning to discover that cryptocurrencies offer such opportunities—by simplifying cross-border transactions and overcoming the associated foreign currency exchange costs. At present, cryptocurrencies are the most advanced application of public blockchains that promise benefits such as a universal means of payment and minimal fees through the removal of intermediaries.
