Accor has renewed partnership agreements for more than 40 hotels in Australia, constituting 5,500 keys.

Notably, Accor Pacific partners have invested over A$450m ($306.05m) in hotel renovations since the onset of 2022.

The 40th renewal cemented a long-term franchise agreement with Silversea Investments.

This agreement will lead to a revamp at Novotel Sydney Parramatta and Mercure Sydney Parramatta. Upon completion, the latter will undergo a rebranding to become Novotel Sydney Rosehill.

These hotels are now under the management of Trilogy Hotels.

Additionally, Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, a five-star hotel on the Sunshine Coast, has extended its alliance with Accor.

This flagship Sofitel is set to announce its plans for an overhaul, aiming to further elevate its luxury positioning in Noosa.

Accor Pacific PM&E chief operating officer Adrian Williams said: “Accor has been operating in Australia for over 30 years now, and a feature of our outstanding relationships with owners is our commitment to ensure their hotels remain at the forefront of the market through elevated guest services, facilities and satisfaction.

“We recently invested in providing even more operational support for our hotels, growing the number of operational leaders based in key cities across the Pacific region so that decisions can be made more quickly and resources allocated to where they are most needed. We've developed the largest hotel management platform in the Pacific with more than 300 above-property team members to help support and drive performance for over 200 managed hotels.”

These developments follow Accor's agreement with Worldwide Hotels Group to introduce two new properties in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with openings projected in the first quarter of 2025.

Accor's portfolio ranges from luxury to economy, including 19 international brands and more than 400 hotels in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and French Polynesia.
