Nepal-based hotel development and investment company Akama Hotel has signed a franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
The agreement will facilitate the development of a midscale Ramada by Wyndham branded hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is not only the most populous city in the country but also a hub of historical significance and natural beauty.
Located in the Kathmandu Valley, the city stands at an altitude of 4,344ft and is known for its rich cultural heritage, including several World Heritage Sites.
The upcoming Ramada by Wyndham Kathmandu Dhumbarai is located 3km from the Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and 4.5km from Tribhuvan International Airport.
The hotel, which is expected to open its doors this year, will feature 109 rooms.
The property will also offer a range of amenities, including a lobby lounge, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, a health club, a spa, a swimming pool, a meeting room, and a business centre, catering to both leisure and business travellers.

The opening of Ramada by Wyndham Kathmandu Dhumbarai is expected to create more than 100 direct jobs.
