Ananta Hotels & Resorts is looking to further expand its footprint in India, as reported by ET HospitalityWorld, citing the company’s president, Ashutosh Goyal.

In an interview with the publication, Goyal said the hotel company is opening two new properties in September: “This month (September) we are opening two new properties - the Ashok Vatika Ananta Elite Ranakpur and the Leopard Lair Ananta Elite Jawai.

"The second property is an upgraded version of an existing property which we had. Both the properties are very wildlife-centric with limited rooms (between 30 and 35).”

Set up in 2001, Ananta currently operates in 16 locations, most of them in Rajasthan.

The company does business on a variety of hospitality models.

In addition to owning and managing its properties, the hotel group also has properties with which it leases, has revenue-sharing agreements, or has management contracts.

In 2019, the parent company launched Ananta Global Hospitality and three sub-brands namely Elite, Express and Inn.

Goyal further explained that the properties were allocated to the sub-brands based on their locations as well as factors like prior performance and financial condition: "We have also assigned three properties under the management contract, in Dharoi Dam and near the Statue of Unity, both in Gujarat and one in Indore.

"We are also currently in talks with owners of properties in Dalhousie, Coorg, Kabini and Manesar."

He added that the company was looking for ways to establish operations in Madhya Pradesh as well as Jodhpur, where they currently have no presence.

According to Goyal, his company will buy, run and manage properties ranging from affordable to luxury by 2025.
