Marriott International has opened reservations for its inaugural Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy property, Casa Costera, Isla Verde, located in the vibrant Isla Verde neighbourhood of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The 107-unit property is set to welcome guests just in time for the high season 2023.

Situated just steps away from the beach, the property features a rooftop pool with sea and mountain views.

Its prime location makes it an ideal spot for both leisure and corporate travellers seeking a blend of comfort and accessibility during their stay in Puerto Rico.

Catering to independent travellers

Targeting the premium and luxury segments, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy sets itself apart from Marriott's existing extended-stay brands with distinctive design elements reflecting the local neighbourhood.

The units, designed for longer-term stays, offer private bedrooms, separate living rooms, full kitchens and washer/dryers, catering to the evolving needs of travellers seeking residential amenities.

"While catering to consumers looking for longer-term accommodation, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy complements our extraordinary hotel brands and should help increase guest loyalty for our entire global portfolio of nearly 8,700 hotels," stated Brian Povinelli, senior vice-president and global head of marketing and brand.

Marriott Bonvoy member benefits

Marriott Bonvoy members can benefit from their stays at Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy properties, earning five Marriott Bonvoy points per $1 on a qualifying stay.

They can also earn one Elite Night credit per night, along with receiving free Wi-Fi, exclusive member rates and other perks based on their status level.

Marriott International has plans to open additional Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy properties in 2024 in the US, Canada, Europe and the Middle East.

The Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy brand also offers flexibility for developers, allowing the conversion of existing apartment-style buildings, new builds or multi-use buildings with dedicated lobbies, services and amenities.
