European hotel chain B&B Hotels has completed its second deal in the US with a new property in Jacksonville, Florida.
This move represents the company’s continued adoption of its lease model in the American market.
The B&B HOTEL Jacksonville is expected to commence operations with 156 rooms in the first quarter of 2025, post an extensive renovation, reported Hospitalitynet.
Located at exit 357 of Interstate 10, the hotel serves as a western gateway to the city.
B&B Hotels, with nearly 800 hotels across 17 countries, credits its growth in Europe to a business model that prioritises flexibility and a focus on essential services.
The brand's first US hotel in Orlando launched earlier this year is reported to have sparked interest among investors, including Batipart, a long-standing supporter of B&B HOTELS' ventures.
B&B Hotels US CEO Valerio Duchini said: “Today and as previously promised, we are really glad and honoured to announce the signing of our second hotel in the US and specifically in Jacksonville. The hotel will undergo a complete renovation, and it will be opened in the first months of 2025.
“This is another big step in the development of B&B Hotels in Florida and the US. A big thank you to our real estate partner, Batipart, for their support since the beginning of this adventure in the US.”
In March, Goldman Sachs disclosed that its private equity division was contemplating the sale of B&B Hotels.
Potential valuations for the hotel chain are estimated to be around €3.5bn.
