US-based property developer Blue Water Development has committed $8.8m to upgrade infrastructure at four of its oceanfront hotels.
These enhancements are timed to prepare the properties for the upcoming spring break and summer vacation seasons.
The investment aims to provide guests with improved amenities and a refreshed experience.
The SeaLoft Oceanfront Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, formerly the Atlantic Oceanfront Inn, has undergone a $4.7m renovation.

The guest rooms will feature new furniture and bedding, among other improvements while the hotel's exterior and lobby snack shop are also being enhanced.
The Commander Hotel & Suites will see upgrades being undertaken with an investment of $2m.
The upgrades include luxury vinyl plank flooring, fresh paint, new dining tables, and updated bathroom vanities.
The restaurant and outdoor pool area will also see significant improvements, including a new dehumidification system for the indoor pool.

The outdoor area will feature new recreational facilities while the restaurant will gain a new bar and an open-air concept.
Lastly, the Comfort Inn & Suites Daytona Beach in Florida is enhancing its guest experience with a $10,000 investment.
This includes a new fitness centre, a business kiosk, and updated food and beverage options.
Blue Water regional operations manager Lorrie Miller said: "Our guests deserve the best we have to offer, and we want our properties to have everything they need heading into the travel season.
"Our guests' experience is always our top priority for these property enhancements, and we hope they enjoy these upgraded features."
