BWH Hotels has forged a partnership with Tesla to introduce electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its properties across North America.

The company will install Universal Wall Connectors at some hotels across North America, starting next year.

Earlier this year, Tesla launched the Universal Wall Connector, which is designed to charge any North American vehicle model.

It serves as a ‘convenient' charging solution for both Tesla and non-Tesla electric vehicles, stated the electric carmaker.

BWH Hotels brand management and member services vice president Michael Morton said: “This collaboration with Tesla underscores BWH Hotels' unwavering commitment to sustainability and dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

“As the hospitality industry evolves, we will continue to blend eco-conscious initiatives with the service, value and comfort that guests expect from BWH Hotels.”

BWH Hotels supports hotels in minimising environmental impact, conserving energy and water, and reducing carbon footprints.

It also collaborates with hoteliers to drive positive change through its earth, people, and community efforts.

The company noted that the inclusion of Tesla EV charging stations is part of its aim to promote sustainable products and responsible hotel operations.

Last week, BWH Hotels selected FLYR for Hospitality as its revenue management system.

The implementation is anticipated to improve BWH Hotels' centralised revenue management capabilities across its 56 properties in the Scandinavian region.

BWH Hotels comprises three hotel companies, namely WorldHotels, SureStay Hotels, and Best Western Hotels & Resorts.

The company currently has 4,300 hotels across more than 100 countries and territories around the world.

In September 2023, Tesla signed an expanded agreement with Hilton for the deployment of up to 20,000 Tesla Universal Wall Connectors at Hilton’s 2,000 hotels across North America.

The deployment is expected to commence early next year.
