Networking solutions provider Cambium Networks and digital technology company Nonius have partnered on hotel Wi-Fi connectivity solutions.
Covering Wi-Fi access points, comprehensive switching solutions and cnMaestro cloud management platform, the solutions have been implemented at Dakota Hotels’ properties in Manchester, UK.
Dakota Hotels faced the challenge of upgrading its Wi-Fi infrastructure to accommodate the increasing number of devices per guest, the demand for high-speed internet access and guest expectations of a flawless online experience.
Nonius and Cambium Networks collaborated to support the hotel company’s diverse operations, from guest services to back office functions.
Centralised cloud management via Cambium Networks' cnMaestro system allows Dakota Hotels to streamline network provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting, ensuring the quick resolution of any issues.
High-density, plate and indoor Wi-Fi access points have been placed in guest rooms, corridors, restaurants and gathering areas.
Dakota Hotels Group IT manager Alan Poole commented: “The feedback from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive. The ability to seamlessly connect and enjoy high-speed internet access throughout our properties has significantly enhanced the guest experience.”
Wi-Fi connectivity is a necessity, not an amenity, and is a key focus for hotel brands of all sizes. In 2023, IHG introduced easy access Wi-Fi for its loyalty programme members at more than 5000 of its properties.
