UK-based hotel group Cedar Court Hotels is set to relaunch its Huddersfield property, which recently underwent a significant £1.1m ($1.4m) refurbishment.

The 113-bedroom hotel is located in Ainley Top, a village in West Yorkshire.

Strategically located between Leeds and Manchester, Cedar Court Huddersfield is a short drive from the open-air courtyard and live music venue The Piece Hall.

According to Bdaily News, Cedar Court Hotel Huddersfield is now set to relaunch on 1 February 2024.

The hotel group has invited the public, sports enthusiasts, and the Huddersfield business community to attend the reopening event.

As part of the extensive 12-month project, the Huddersfield hotel underwent various upgrades, mainly to the bedrooms, dining, business, and lounge areas.

Aligning with the Cedar Court Hotel group's investment strategy for the region, the refurbishment is aimed at establishing a multi-purpose community hub and attracting visitors to the city.

The property will now feature a new underground sports-themed venue with a private bar, called 'The Dugout'.

It is designed to serve as a flexible space for local sports teams corporate groups, and community gatherings, providing locally curated food and drinks.

The hotel's interior transformation includes redesigned and upgraded bedrooms, restaurant and bar, meeting rooms, and public spaces, including lounge and lobby areas. The Yorkshire Suite has also received a design refresh.

Cedar Court Hotel Huddersfield’s design, which reflects the local landscape and Huddersfield's industrial heritage, was led by local designer Emma Jones from Rhubarb and Ginger Interiors.

Cedar Court Hotels Yorkshire managing director, Leeds Hotels and Venues Association chairman, Harrogate BID director and Institute of Hospitality committee member Wayne Topley said: “It is fantastic to finally be able to share the refurbished Cedar Court Huddersfield space with guests, visitors and members of the local community.

“This £1.1m investment shows our commitment to Huddersfield and the wider region.

“We are very excited to be partnering with The Piece Hall, an iconic venue which will attract thousands of music fans to Huddersfield, Halifax and Calderdale, and drive a huge boost for the local economy.”
