Charlestowne Hotels has announced the opening of Little Mod Hotel, its new hotel in the US state of Virginia, as reported by HospitalityNet.
This hotel marks Charlestowne's third property in the state, joining the existing Oakhurst Inn and The Bristol Hotel.
Located adjacent to the University of Virginia (UVA) grounds in Charlottesville, the hotel caters to alumni, visiting parents, as well as adventurous young guests.
The hotel features a "totally retro, pleasantly offbeat" theme and is housed within a refurbished building that was originally built in the 1960s.
Currently, it boasts 15 guest rooms with record players, retro bathroom tiles and mid-century-style furniture.
It also has five apartment-style suites with kitchens, ample workspace and more for guests seeking an extended stay experience.
The hotel's food truck, The Mod Pod, styled like an airstream, offers a menu featuring all-day breakfast, tacos and waffle cones. The dishes are prepared by chef Tyler Andrews.
The Mod Pod is the latest addition to Charlestowne's growing collection of over 35 food and beverage outlets.
Little Mod Hotel also provides access to the nearby hotspot on the UVA campus called The Corner.
This addition comes after Charlestowne Hotels announced a management takeover of The H Hotel in Michigan last month.
The company’s recent additions also include Hotel Verdant in Racine, Wisconsin.
