Choice Hotels International has broken ground for Everhome Suites Glendale in Arizona to bolster its presence in the extended stay segment.

The four-storey property will feature 122 rooms and boast amenities, such as spa-style bathrooms, closets and extra storage and multipurpose lobby areas.

It will also give guest access to a 24-hour fitness centre and laundry services.

Choice Hotels extended stay franchise development senior vice-president Ron Burgett said: “We’re excited to stand alongside HighSide Companies breaking ground on another Everhome Suites hotel as the brand continues its national expansion.

“While new construction projects are facing headwinds, it is through our proven track record and smart development model executed in collaboration with exemplary developers like HighSide, that we’re able to quickly bring projects to market.

“We look forward to the not-too-distant future where we’re able to empower guests in Glendale, Arizona, to adapt their environment to the way they live and work during longer-term stays.”

Denver-based development company HighSide Companies has been contracted to develop the property, which is anticipated to open in the third quarter of 2024.

The Everhome Suites Glendale is located near Boswell Medical Centre, Luke Air Force Base, State Farm Stadium and Loop 101.
