Choice Hotels International has announced the debut of Everhome Suites on the East Coast of the US with the opening of a new property in Newnan, Georgia.
The new Everhome Suites sits alongside WoodSpring Suites on a single property, creating the first-ever side-by-side location for two of Choice Hotels' extended stay brands.
Strategic co-location allows the two hotels, both owned by the Turnstone Group, to cater to the diverse needs of the Newnan market, which includes guests visiting the City of Hope Cancer Center and those traveling to the nearby city of Atlanta.
“We purposefully designed the brand with input from our biggest WoodSpring owners and developers to drive high performance," said Matt McElhare, vice-president for extended stay brands at Choice Hotels, in a statement.
"Now, our developers are recognising the complementary opportunity, pairing Everhome and WoodSpring on a shared site, which enables them to appeal to a wide range of extended stay guests. Everhome Newnan is our first of six shared site projects planned across the country."
Capitalising on the extended stay boom
The extended-stay hotel sector is currently experiencing a surge in demand, with supply trailing demand by a factor of two. Choice Hotels anticipates strong guest interest in Everhome Suites from segments including:
- Discretionary leisure travellers
- Travelling healthcare workers and hospital patients
- IT and skilled workers seeking upscale accommodation
WoodSpring Suites, meanwhile, will continue to cater to blue-collar business travellers such as construction crews.
