Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co, on behalf of Coast & Country Hotels, has facilitated the successful sale of two notable UK properties, The Royal Hotel Whitby in North Yorkshire and The Majestic Hotel in Eastbourne.
These sales are part of a larger portfolio of 33 assets put on the market, with only a few remaining available for purchase.
Located in the picturesque seaside town of Whitby, The Royal Hotel Whitby is known for its ocean views and proximity to local attractions. The 115-room hotel is a five-minute walk from the harbour and the historic Whitby Abbey. It features a grand reception hall, a large ballroom, and extensive dining facilities, making it an attractive destination for tourists.
Christie & Co director Mark Worley, who handled the sale of this hotel, said: "We are delighted to have completed the sale of The Royal Hotel in Whitby, which will continue as a hotel for ongoing hospitality use under its new ownership.
Situated on Eastbourne's Victorian seafront, The Majestic Hotel offers guests views of the beach and promenade. This 19th-century hotel features 95 bedrooms, many with unobstructed sea views, alongside a welcoming bar and lounge area.
Representing the seller, Christie & Co regional director Ed Belfield said: "The sale of The Majestic Hotel represented an exceptional opportunity to acquire a successful hotel business with significant repeat patronage."
In January, Christie & Co announced the sale of the Torbay Hotel in Devon on behalf of Coast & Country Collection.
Last month, Christie & Co facilitated the sale of Glenpark Hotel in Ayr, Scotland, to Lucy and Felix Ingham.
