Choice Hotels International’s Comfort hotels brand has introduced a new design with the opening of its first Rise & Shine prototype in Missouri, US.

The property was developed by Thompson Lodging and is located at 150 E 19th Street in Mountain Grove, near Mark Twain National Forest.

This new Rise & Shine prototype boasts a contemporary design that caters to guests of all ages.

Choice Hotels vice-president and brand strategy Cathy Hartman said: “Comfort hotels is thrilled to introduce the Rise & Shine prototype with the opening of the Comfort Inn & Suites in Mountain Grove.

“It's a reflection of our ongoing commitment to enhancing guest experiences and ensuring that families and travellers of all ages can create cherished memories at Comfort hotels.”

The hotel boasts 56 guestrooms with updated fixtures and new furnishings, including semi-open closets and "on-the-go" stations near the door.

It features an outdoor patio anchored by an indoor/outdoor fireplace, designed to offer a homelike ambience.

It has open, well-lit public areas along with a versatile flex room that transforms to accommodate various activities.

Additionally, the new prototype has well-placed, functional lighting elements throughout the hotel, including on the exterior, front desk welcome wall, public space millwork shelving, etc.

This hotel is also a part of the loyalty programme called Choice Privileges.

The latest announcement comes after Choice Hotels International formed a partnership with GrubHub, a leading online food ordering and delivery platform, last month.

Currently, Choice Hotels has approximately 7,500 hotels with nearly 630,000 rooms across 46 countries and territories.

Cryptocurrency - The world’s most polarizing technology theme

The globalization and digitization of travel and tourism are both driving the demand for easy-to-use and cheap international transaction processes and payment systems. Tourists are beginning to discover that cryptocurrencies offer such opportunities—by simplifying cross-border transactions and overcoming the associated foreign currency exchange costs. At present, cryptocurrencies are the most advanced application of public blockchains that promise benefits such as a universal means of payment and minimal fees through the removal of intermediaries.
