IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered a partnership with MMS Land, the property and hospitality arm of MMS Group Indonesia, to debut the Crowne Plaza Labuan Bajo in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia.
This addition marks IHG’s third premium brand property in Indonesia and additionally marks the third Crowne Plaza hotel in Indonesia, joining Crowne Plaza Bandung and Crowne Plaza Jakarta Residences.
IHG Hotels & Resorts senior director of development for South East Asia and Korea Chris Anklin said: “It’s truly exciting to introduce a fantastic Crowne Plaza hotel at Labuan Bajo in partnership with MMS Land.
“Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts is one of the world’s largest premium hotel brands and ideally suited for guests who visit this island paradise for leisure, business or blended travel.”
MMS Land CEO Andre Chandra Biantoro said: “We are excited to be working with IHG – a truly internationally-renowned operator – on this landmark project.
“We have seen IHG have great success with the world’s best airport hotel, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport in Singapore and are confident that together we’ll emulate that outstanding level of achievement with Crowne Plaza Labuan Bajo.”
The company also noted that this hotel will offer a selection of 199 WorkLife rooms and suites across seven floors, targeting both business and leisure travellers.
It will feature meeting spaces, a fitness centre, a spa, a swimming pool and three dining venues as well as provide guests access to the Plaza Workspace.
Situated next to Komodo International Airport, the hotel is a 15-minute drive from the Flores Island waterfront.
Guests at the property can also visit the nearby UNESCO-listed Komodo National Park, which is home to over 5,000 rare Komodo Dragons.
In Indonesia, IHG currently boasts 24 hotels spanning six brands and has 15 hotels in the pipeline, introducing new brands such as Regent Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection and voco hotels.
