Cycas Hospitality has been appointed to manage the UK’s first Fairfield by Marriott hotel, a part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands.
Introducing Marriott's midscale hotel brand to the UK market, this 142-room new-build property is scheduled to open its doors in early 2026.
The Fairfield by Marriott hotel will be strategically located within the British Motor Museum complex, offering guests direct access to the museum's exhibits.
Situated just off the M40, the hotel is expected to attract both leisure and business travellers, providing unique conference, wedding, and event facilities capable of accommodating up to 600 delegates.
The area surrounding the new Fairfield by Marriott is a hub for the UK's automotive industry, with the hotel's immediate neighbours including Jaguar Land Rover's global research and development centre and Aston Martin's world headquarters.
This proximity is likely to enhance the hotel's appeal to corporate guests connected to the automotive sector.
The British Motor Museum complex also boasts a rooftop Sky Suite and 65 acres of grounds.
These features present additional prospects for hosting meetings, events, and corporate team-building experiences, further cementing the hotel's position as a versatile venue.
Fairfield by Marriott guests will enjoy amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi and a hot breakfast.
The hotel's rooms and suites will be thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of the modern traveller, with separate living, working, and sleeping areas.
Each guestroom will be equipped with an ergonomic workstation, a refrigerator, a coffeemaker, and a microwave.
Moreover, the hotel's public area will serve as a flexible social space where guests can interact, share, or unwind. For added convenience, a 24/7 Corner Market will allow guests to easily grab snacks and essentials at any time.
Cycas Hospitality CEO Matt Luscombe said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Cycas to showcase our expertise in managing unique and culturally significant properties. We look forward to providing exceptional service and enhancing the overall guest experience at the British Motor Museum. We are delighted to be bringing a new hospitality offering to this renowned destination.”
The British Motor Museum managing director Jeff Coope said: "The whole team here at the British Motor Museum are delighted to welcome Cycas, Marriott and WHD to the venue, working together to create a unique hotel experience for visitors and conference delegates alike.
“The museum, which attracts over 200,000 UK and overseas guests each year, contains more than 500 vehicles representing the history of the motor industry in Britain. Many of the vehicles in the collection are the first of their type, ‘Number One’ as they say in the automotive world, so it is such a wonderful opportunity for the venue to continue this theme of ‘firsts’ with the UK’s ‘Number One’ Fairfield by Marriott hotel."
