Ireland-based hotel operator the Dalata Hotel Group has opened its premier Maldron Hotel in Finsbury Park, London.

The Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park, offering 191 rooms, represents the group's 53rd hotel in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe.

Dalata has invested an additional £4.1m ($5.2m) to align the property, which it acquired for £44.3m ($55.5m), with its Maldron brand’s standards.

Location and accessibility

Located on Seven Sisters Road, a one-minute walk from the tube station, the hotel provides access to the Victoria and Piccadilly underground lines, Thameslink and major railway stations including Euston, King's Cross and St. Pancras International.

Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park General Manager Kirsty Monington described the strategic location of the new property, stating: “Given how accessible we are to central London, Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park really does provide a cost-effective alternative to city centre pricing.”

The hotel is also close to Arsenal football club's Emirates Stadium and to Finsbury Park which has hosted concerts and music festivals with headliners including The 1975 and Pulp.

Sustainability and amenities

Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park has a commitment to sustainability, achieving a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method Excellent rating and Energy Performance Certification A status.

The hotel features a contemporary lobby, a fitness suite and rooms equipped with modern amenities.

Expanded portfolio

The hotel not only enhances the group's presence in the UK but also sets the stage for a broader expansion plan, encompassing five new Maldron Hotels across the country in 2024.

Dalata Hotel Group CEO Dermot Crowley expressed delight about the group’s growing footprint in the capital, stating: “We are very proud to open Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park, the brand’s first hotel to open in London. But with Maldron Hotel Shoreditch opening early next year, it won’t be on its own for long. Earlier in the summer, Dalata Hotel Group also opened the Clayton Hotel London Wall which underlines our determination to grow our presence in London.".

In October 2023, Dalata announced that it was expanding its presence in Europe with the acquisition of a development site in Edinburgh, UK, and a leasehold interest in the Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American, in the Netherlands.

Generative AI can improve personalized healthcare by collecting data from patients via wearable devices. These wearables can provide continuous, real-time data that can complement traditional data sources such as imaging, patient records, and more. Generative AI tools can also help healthcare professionals make more accurate diagnoses by finding abnormalities that a healthcare professional may have missed. It can also enhance existing imaging techniques by generating high-quality images of organs using data from low-resolution images (such as ultrasounds).
