Real estate company David S. Brown Enterprises has unveiled plans to build an Element by Westin hotel at Metro Centre in Owings Mills, Maryland, the US.
The company plans to break ground for the 120-room luxury hotel, which is a part of Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio of 31 brands, this summer.
The hotel will sit across Grand Central Avenue from the Marriott Owings Mills in Metro Centre, a transit-oriented development that was opened in December 2021.
It will have a sustainability focused design strategy, featuring airy suites with in-room kitchens and spa-inspired bathrooms.
The new Element by Westin will be managed by Crescent Hotels and Resorts and guests will have easy access to boutique shopping, fine dining as well as many attractions.
Altogether, Metro Centre at Owings Mills offers luxury apartment homes, a full-service hotel, retail space, Class A commercial office space, educational facilities and year-round special events.
Upon completion, the development is expected to feature two hotels, more than 5,700 parking spaces, over 560,000ft² of office space, more than 1,700 apartments, and over 150,000ft² of retail space.
It includes an on-site metro station and offers direct access to all major highways in Metropolitan Baltimore.
In May last year, David S. Brown Enterprise signed a lease agreement for 20,124ft² space at 10200 Grand Central Avenue within Metro Centre at Owings Mills.
