Deutsche Hospitality has expanded its portfolio with the opening of IntercityHotel in Geneva, Switzerland.
This addition marks Deutsche Hospitality's first hotel in the country.
IntercityHotel Geneva operates under a lease agreement with Deutsche Hospitality and is owned by PG Promotors.
This project has been managed by Swiss project development company GoodNight Partners.
Deutsche Hospitality chief operating officer and guest experience officer Josef Dolp said: “We are delighted to be opening IntercityHotel Geneva - cosmopolitan and locally rooted at the same time.
“It is our first hotel in French-speaking Switzerland, with more to follow soon. Switzerland is a key market and Geneva, a top location for us to continue the growth of the IntercityHotel brand. It is dynamic and energetic.”
GoodNight Partners managing director Arjun A Fornerod said: “We are glad to welcome Deutsche Hospitality in Geneva and we are certain the IntercityHotel Geneva is offering the right product for both business travellers and leisure guests.
“It is fulfilling a missing positioning gap in the hotel capacity of the market. We believe that the values of the brand fit perfectly in this first-of-its-kind hospitality hub developed in the heart of Evolution+ Quartier de l’Étang, a vibrant new city within the city.”
Located at Quartier de l'Étang, a former industrial site, the hotel boasts 270 rooms, a restaurant and bar and conference space with five meeting rooms.
Currently, it is offering an opening special offer that includes bed, breakfast and late check-out at SFr149 ($165.75) per night for reservations made by 22 November 2023.
It also has a wellness and fitness area with a sauna and steam bath.
Guests at the property can access the city centre, Palexpo International Exhibition, the airport and the Congress Centre via tram, bus and car.
The hotel is also close to a range of restaurants and bars, a gym and a shopping centre.
Currently, Deutsche Hospitality has eight hotel brands with more than 130 hotels across three continents, of which 40 are in the development pipeline.
