Driftwood Hospitality Management (DHM) is set to take on management of Canopy by Hilton Downtown Louisville, a new $75m hotel in the US.
This marks DHM's debut venture in Kentucky, with the 168-key hotel's completion slated for the fourth quarter of 2024, reported Hotel Online.
New York-based Zyyo acquired the site in 2020 and will develop the property, in partnership with Minnesota-based TruVine Companies.
Zyyo, which acquired the site in 2020, is also serving as the architect and construction manager.
Driftwood Hospitality Management acquisitions and development EVP Andrew Stevens said: “We look forward to this exciting new opportunity to work on such an innovative project alongside Nick Campisano and his team at Zyyo.
“He has developed a truly exceptional hotel with an incredible attention to detail that elevates the guest experience in every sense.”
The property will feature the Bourré Bonne Steakhouse, and a new rooftop restaurant and bar.
Canopy by Hilton Downtown Louisville will also offer a range of on-site amenities, including a fitness centre with a press juice bar and more than 5,100ft² of meeting space.
It is situated at 143 West Market St, within walking distance of attractions such as Whiskey Row, the Kentucky International Convention Center, and the KFC Yum Center Arena.
Driftwood Hospitality Management founder and president David Buddemeyer said: “Recognising the unique aspects of the surrounding location and what it means for those visiting the area, our team looks forward to providing a rich experience that conveys the local flair of Downtown Louisville.”
In March, DHM assumed the management of the Hilton Garden Inn San José City Mall in Costa Rica.
This hotel marks the 1,000th property under the Hilton Garden Inn brand.
Currently, DHM has more than 80 properties under its management.
