Dubai hotelier unveils high-cost ‘party jet’ for luxury seekers

The £10,000-an-hour jet has attracted high-net-worth individuals, reinforcing Dubai's status as a playground for the super-rich.

Dubai's super-rich are taking luxury travel to new heights with the introduction of a lavish 'party jet' by Five Hotels and Resorts. The private jet, accommodating up to 16 passengers, offers a nightclub-like experience in the sky with colour-changing LED lights.

However, such extravagant travel comes at a steep price, with hourly rates ranging from $13,000 to $14,000 (£10,000 to £11,000).

Unparalleled luxury features

The customised Airbus A220, named 9H-FIVE, offers a range of opulent amenities. The main cabin features a dining table for eight, an entertainer's kitchen, and three 55-inch television sets. At the rear of the cabin, passengers can find an ensuite bedroom with a king-size bed, accompanied by a reminder that only two individuals are allowed at a time.

The bed must be secured with a gust belt, similar to a seat belt, ensuring safety during the flight. Plush seats and sofas in the passenger section can be transformed into seven additional bed spaces.

Bookings and star-studded clients

Five Hotels and Resorts has already begun accepting bookings for the "party jet." Despite the company's turning down some extravagant requests, including a proposed charter for £55,000, customers willing to pay the exorbitant costs have included a professional footballer and six other undisclosed individuals.

Carbon offset commitment

Addressing concerns about the environmental impact of air travel, Five Hotels and Resorts states that they will be offsetting the carbon emissions of their service by purchasing carbon credits.

These credits contribute to climate-focused projects that aim to reduce emissions and enhance ecosystems.
