Saudi Arabia-based Dur Hospitality has signed a strategic partnership with Travel Destinations Solutions (TDS) to promote its hotel brands and B2B connections.

This partnership is expected to foster growth and expand Dur Hospitality’s services for a wider audience of Saudi Arabia’s visitors.

The alliance further aims to boost sales and profitability for the hospitality company by providing exclusive marketing opportunities in various tourist markets.

It will make Dur Hospitality hotels a preferred option for travel agents in the TDS network, expanding the company’s presence in international travel markets.

The agreement was signed during the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, which was held between 6 and 8 November 2023.

Dur Hospitality president of hotel operations Hassan Ahdab said: “Our collaboration with TDS will enhance the reach of Dur hotels, contributing to our expansion across international markets.

“The agreement will introduce Dur Hospitality’s properties to the targeted groups, particularly in the business sector, enhancing our global presence.”

TDS deputy CEO Ahmed El Faramawi said: “Dur Hospitality plays a pivotal role in showcasing the Kingdom's tourism at its best. Through its properties, Dur embodies the authenticity of Saudi hospitality, aligned with world-class standards.

“This agreement mirrors our strategy to deliver exceptional travel experiences precisely tailored for visitors to Saudi Arabia, aiming to position the Kingdom as a global tourism hub.”

Dur Hospitality engages in global events such as the WTM and ITB Berlin to strengthen its status as a hospitality brand in the country and enhance connections with global partners.

Additionally, in May of this year, the hospitality company signed a partnership agreement with Smart Zone Real Estate Company to build and operate a hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Gen Z and their impact on the travel and tourism industry

Gen Z has been called the most disruptive generation ever by Bank of America, and its influence is on the rise at a time of great uncertainty. Gen Z's focus on local and micro-tourism is reshaping the industry towards a more sustainable, community-centric, and culturally enriching approach to travel. This shift is not only influencing the destinations and activities that are popular but also the way travel companies market and provide services to cater to the preferences of this generation.
