Dusit International, a Thailand-based hotel and property development company, has announced plans to manage a 125-key lifestyle resort in the Maldives.
An agreement has been signed with foreign investment company Pearl Atoll to manage this resort, dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives.
The resort is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2024 on a private island near the main island of Malé.
Currently under construction, the resort will be the first 'all-inclusive' property under Dusit's upscale dusitD2 brand.
It will feature overwater villas and family suites ranging in size from 77m² to 319m², a kids club, multiple dining options, a fully equipped gym, and the signature Namm Spa.
Guests at the resort will also gain access to three main private beaches, and a smaller 'picnic beach'.
The resort's location near Malé International Airport allows for the development of an entertainment hub and a small convention centre.
dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives will be Dusit's second venture in the Maldives, complementing the luxury Dusit Thani Maldives on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll.
Dusit International COO Gilles Cretallaz said: “We are delighted to be expanding our presence in the Maldives with dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives, our first all-inclusive resort concept.
“We are committed to exceeding guest expectations with innovative offerings and exceptional service, and dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives will be a shining example of this unwavering dedication.”
Dusit's extensive portfolio includes around 300 properties across 18 countries, operating under eight distinct brands.
Pearl Atoll managing director Fan Jianglin said: “We are thrilled to partner with Dusit International to manage our first resort in the Maldives.
“dusitD2 Feydhoo’s prime location near Malé International Airport makes it incredibly convenient for guests, and we are confident that under Dusit’s experienced guidance, the resort will be a resounding success.”
