Edison Interactive has partnered with DISH Network to revolutionise entertainment options and drive revenue for casino hotel operators.
Edison Interactive is an out-of-home content management system designed for connected devices within hotel rooms.
This collaboration is expected to enhance in-room streaming features and help hotel operators drive revenue using Edison's advertising technology.
The content management system, through its integration with DISH Business, enables the operators to promote internal assets such as restaurants, shows and on-site shopping, among others.
This feature enhances ticket sales and drives downloads of sportsbook applications.
It also offers the infrastructure to casino operators to incorporate brand advertising into the guest experience, participating in the expanding retail media business.
This integration further helps them enhance guest experiences and boost revenue using the SMARTBOX2 and OnStream platforms.
These features provide access to live linear content, casting functionalities, in-theatre movies, premium channels, and a virtual concierge.
DISH Business executive vice-president Amir Ahmed said: “The strategic partnership between DISH Business and Edison creates an innovative approach and unique, world-class solution for casino hotel operators.
“This collaboration not only enriches in-room entertainment but also opens up new avenues for revenue generation, transforming the casino hospitality industry.”
Edison Interactive co-founder and chief revenue officer Nick Stanitz-Harper said: “We are not just reimagining in-room entertainment, we are revolutionising how casino hotel operators can turn what was traditionally a cost centre into a profit centre.
“Our platform, coupled with DISH, empowers them to dynamically promote their internal assets, drive ticket sales, tap into the lucrative sports betting market, and bring in Fortune 500 brand marketing all through advanced advertising technology.”
