Ennismore and Banyan Tree Group, both part of the Accor Group, have signed an agreement with Dubai Holding to open the Banyan Tree Dubai resort at Bluewaters in Dubai.
The multi-staged project in Bluewaters will begin with Banyan Tree Dubai, which is scheduled to open in November 2023.
This deal was signed by Accor chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin and Dubai Holding group CEO Amit Kaushal.
Bazin said: “We are thrilled to be at the beginning of a promising development partnership between Accor and Dubai Holding and the announcement of the opening of a stunning Banyan Tree Dubai on Bluewaters is the first of many projects involving our brands in the pipeline to further develop and grow our presence in Dubai and globally.”
Bluewaters offers a range of hospitality, lifestyle, housing, leisure and entertainment opportunities, with over 150 retail and dining options.
Situated at the centre of Bluewaters will be Banyan Tree Dubai, which will replace the existing Caesars Palace Dubai.
Following a phased brand-related upgrade, this new resort will boast of 179 rooms, including 30 suites and a new four-bedroom villa with a private entrance, pool and beach access.
The resort will offer a spa with its own reception, gym, yoga spaces, treatment rooms, an F&B area and private mini rainforests.
It will feature five restaurants and bars following a collaboration between Ennismore's Carte Blanched and Banyan Tree Group.
Additionally, it will have 96 private residences with one, two, three and four bedrooms, a dedicated lobby, an outdoor pool and other amenities.
In 2016, a long-term strategic partnership deal was signed between Accor and Banyan Tree Group.
As part of this agreement, the new property will be operated by Banyan Tree Group and Ennismore, similar to their collaboration in Banyan Tree La Cigale Doha, Qatar and Banyan Tree AlUla, Saudi Arabia.
