Australian hospitality company EVT is set to operate Alex Hotel in Perth, Western Australia (WA), from the middle of this month.
The hotel management agreement (HMA) includes the operation of the hotel's Shadow Wine Bar and Dining Room, reported The Hotel Conversation.
Alex Hotel offers 74 bedrooms, featuring locally sourced amenities and hand-sculpted bathroom ceramics by artist Simone Nabholz.
Shadow Wine Bar and Dining Room offers an Italian culinary experience with a wine list and private dining options, all set behind a 1950s façade.
EVT aims to boost the establishment's reputation by leveraging the group's food and beverage expertise.
The property also includes the Lobby Bar, which serves barista-made coffee during the day and transitions to organic wines at night.
Additionally, the hotel provides conference facilities, including a 16-person boardroom, a private rooftop terrace, and communal spaces with a book collection and an in-house vinyl record player.
EVT Hotels and Resorts director Norman Arundel said: “We are excited to partner with Alex Hotel and Shadow Wine Bar, two iconic names in Perth’s hospitality landscape, and welcome them to the Independent Collection by EVT.
“This appointment reflects EVT’s dedication to delivering exceptional and personalised guest experiences, driven by our flexible operational model and strong local presence. We look forward to enhancing the distinctive character of The Alex and the celebrated reputation of Shadow Wine Bar, further establishing EVT’s footprint across Perth.”
Earlier this year, EVT Hotels & Resorts formed a management partnership with Invictus Developments under the Independent Collection by EVT (ICbE).
This collaboration saw EVT managing The Old Clare Hotel in Chippendale and Harbour Rocks Hotel in Sydney.
