Fairfield by Marriott, a brand within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, has opened its 50th hotel in Greater China, the Fairfield by Marriott Chengdu High-Tech Zone.

The new property is situated in Chengdu, near Guilong Park in the Shuangliu District.

It has 145 guestrooms, catering to the needs of both leisure and business travellers.

Each guest room includes a 55in LED TV, a walk-in shower, complimentary Wi-Fi, and more.

The hotel’s Fairfield Restaurant, situated on the 20th floor, can host up to 100 guests.

It offers a selection of Chinese and Western-style breakfast options with local flavours, including oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausages, bread, coffee, juices, and tea.

This new hotel also provides refreshments at the all-day self-service called 24/7 Market in the lobby.

The hotel's design incorporates public spaces that are open and multifunctional, with an abundance of natural light.

Fairfield by Marriott Chengdu High-Tech Zone general manager Zhou Ping said: “Chengdu’s High-Tech Zone is a thriving hub for local high-tech industries, with enormous potential in business travel.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Fairfield by Marriott brand into this area. The new hotel will provide guests with warm and seamless services as well as an inviting stay experience, enabling them to enjoy a mix of comfort and efficiency while on the road.”

Located 10km from Chengdu South Railway Station and 20km from Shuangliu International Airport, the hotel offers easy access to nearby attractions, including Jincheng Park, Guixi Ecological Park, and Tiexiangsi Temple Water Street.

This comes shortly after Fairfield by Marriott made its European debut with the launch of Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn.
