Indian hospitality management company The Fern Hotels and Resorts has signed a deal for a new hotel in Mumbai, in the Indian state of Maharashtra, ET Hospitality World reported.

Located in the heart of Mira Road, the Fern Residency will have 70 rooms and all rooms will have sophisticated and modern design.

Expected to open next year, the new hotel will also feature food and beverage, banquet and conference facilities.

The Fern Hotels and Resorts managing director Suhail Kannampilly said: “We are most delighted to announce the signup for The Fern Residency in Mira Road, Mumbai. This new hotel will add up to our value as a major hospitality brand in the financial capital of the nation.

“We aim to exceed our guests’ expectations and provide them with a truly memorable experience by providing great accommodations, state-of-the-art facilities and warm hospitality. The Fern Residency Mira Road promises an enjoyable and comfortable stay for anyone visiting this area.”

At present, the company operates nine hotels in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This includes the 76-room The Fern Residency Turbhe Navi Mumbai, the 89-room The Fern Goregaon, 140-room Meluha The Fern Powai and the 84-key The Fern Residency Chembur.

The 79-room The Fern Residency Bhiwandi and the 100-key The Fern Residency Thane are currently in the pipeline in the region.

In June, The Fern Hotels and Resorts signed an 81-key hotel in Palghar, Maharashtra, thereby marking the company’s 100th hotel in India.

This hotel, which opened in June, operates under The Fern Shelter Resort brand.
