US-based investment company Flacks Group has acquired the 180-room Crowne Plaza North Augusta, located near the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.

Established by IHG Hotel in 2019, the Crowne Plaza North Augusta offers luxury and convenience to guests attending various events.

It appeals to both business and leisure travellers, particularly during significant occasions such as The Masters Tournament and Augusta National Women's Amateur.

The hotel features suitable meeting spaces and dining options such as Salt + Marrow steakhouse and Jackson's Bluff rooftop bar.

Flacks Group chairman, CEO and founder Michael Flacks said: “We saw a compelling opportunity with the Crowne Plaza North Augusta, a newly built, full-service luxury hotel in a prime location within one of America’s most celebrated tourist destinations.

“The hotel’s proximity to the Augusta National Golf Club and the unrivalled Riverside Village location makes it an ideal asset for our real estate portfolio.”

The hotel's location near the Augusta GreenJackets' baseball park and within Riverside Village's growing community affords guests access to retail, housing, cultural sites, and varied dining experiences.

Flacks Group engaged Hodges Ward Elliott for representation during this transaction and received counsel from Blue Lotus Ventures.

J P Morgan provided the necessary financing for the acquisition.

As part of its ongoing strategy, Flacks Group continues to seek additional hospitality properties to expand its US real estate investments.
